Egypt rejects Palestinians, says they should be taken in by the country they want to destroy instead

This is a policy that all the Arabs have had for decades. If they accept refugees then the Israelis will just go into the Palestine and drive everyone out. Members of Netanyahu's government have said this openly

There's not a country that wants these people. The entire region is a powder keg and no one wants to deal with a repeat performance of palis stirring up some shit.

As a staunch defender of western democratic values, I'd like to propose a simple, fair solution:

Everyone who lives in the region of Palestine is granted citizenship in one nation. They hold an election and whichever party or coalition counts for at least 50.1% of the votes makes the rules. Surely everyone who believes in a rules based international order can see this is the only fair and valid way for a government to form, right?
