Nazi imagery was a fun collage of everything Germanic. Gott Mit Uns is a throwback to the Teutonic Order in the 1100s, the Prussians in the 1700s, Unified Germany in the 1800s, spanning the First and Second Reichs. Hitler brought it back for the Third Reich.

According to the wikipedia article, he didn't "bring it back", because it was in continuous use up to the start of the nazi regime, and was even still used in some places after the war. It was definitely something they picked up incidently, not a slogan they went out of their way to promulgate

like who the frick are you to just claim two lines crossing each other for something so global? Meta is a very cool word as well frick zuckerberg for forcing me to have to deal with the now fact that every time I use the word "meta" I am essentially advertising for him for free because it's part of the connotation now.
