My name is Mohammed and my last name is a common Muslim name. I don't know why but I never used to have issues until this year when I've been applying. I never got any call backs, interviews scheduled, or anything.

I decided to change my name to “Ryan” on applications, and suddenly I got call backs and emails asking further questions.

This fricking sucks. I feel like I have to change my name now. I was born here and never thought something so trivial could be so important, but I guess it is smh.

If you move to Saudi Arabia as a angloid and you convert (in your best interest probably) they'll make you change your name. I bet you get more calls back as Hakim al Dudeki than Robert Turdcutter there too. What a revelation.
