[Serious] Why is israel taking so long to win in gaza?

Gaza is a city unprecedented to conquer in modern warfare, the city itself is of a million and a half people or more, population-wise it's bigger than Tel Aviv and Jerusalem combined.

Also the tunnel infrastructure is incredible, which requires tons of combat engineers to root out, flooding the tunnels might be the best solution after all.

Also the civilians there are mostly collaborating with Hamas, either at will or at gunpoint. This makes shock and awe tactics harder to pull off without a one way ticket to The Hague. If you pull the civilians out of the city, you're called an ethnic cleanser and muh Nakba, if you don't get them to leave, they'll say it's anutha Nakba but this time the bombs will exterminate them.
