Any information on what was on hamas gifbags they gave to hostages?

As for first link. Israle mission was to disarm hamas or degrade it to point it couldnt conduct any operation anymore. They failed.

Hamas(not palestinian people) mission was to prevent normalisation of relationships between arab nations and israel and force the issue back to spotlight. They succeeded at that. And they survived.

Sure this might bite them back really badly down the road. But this round goes to hamas.

Jordan is cooperating with Israel. They've been cooperating with Israel for decades now, and their royal family has strong ties to the West.

Lebanon's biggest anti-Israel force, Hezbollah, has been decimated and cut off from Iran. @Redactor0 can probably give you more info about the specifics, but Jordan is not going to be a problem anytime soon for Israel.

Syria's new leadership has openly stated their intentions to not frick with Israel, who has gone ahead and destroyed much of their military capabilities with airstrikes. If Al-Jolani misbehaves, he'll runs the very real risk of the Israelis assisting the Kurds and/or the Israelis simply crushing them again with airstrikes.

Turkey is ready to officially resume trade with Israel, not that they ever really stopped in the first place. Their closest ally Azerbaijan is also a strong ally of Israel.

Egypt has done nothing the whole time apart from complain. They won't be friendly, but that was the status quo even before the attacks.

Most importantly, the normalization of Israel's ties with Saudi Arabia is still on the table. There's no guarantee, sure, but the Saudis are open for negotiations.

Only Iran has renewed its resistance against Israel, which ironically is something that might actually push Arab countries closer towards Israel.

In light of all this, the Hamas attacks have to be seen as a complete failure on every front. They brought the issue to the spotlight only to find that no one apart from Iran was willing to do anything about it. And Iran and its proxies were then humiliated in front of the world afterwards. Hamas itself has been destabilized to the point where the PA is trying to re-establish itself. The cherry on top is that the potential normalization of Saudi-Israel relations could still happen.

Yeah, there's not much chance of them doing anything in the short term. They just put out a statement today whining that the government and foreign countries should do something about Israel violating the cease fire. Didn't even make any threats. But the Israelis seem to be heck-bent on making sure that it's a problem in the long run. As long as they're occupying Lebanese territory it's going to piss off people more and more until they do something about it.

Im talking about Abraham Accords. Everyone knows whole middle east is balls deep with israel.

But for now hamas postponed Abraham Accords. Thats win for hamas.

And by hamas. I dont mean win for palestinian people. Just hamas

Hamas postponing normalization didn't even net them much anyways. Funniest part is the postponement might not be for long. If such a deal does go through then it will have been all for nothing.

So what. This round goes to hamas. Who knows who wins the fight

The round isn't even over, Israel is still launching attacks.

The fact is that Hamas accomplished none of their core objectives. Saudi Arabia is still open to negotiations and the bad publicity from mass murdering civilians meant nothing. The PA is now killing Hamas members and is trying to reassert itself as the leaders of Palestinians.
