500 or so comments in an hour so far. $1200 for the 4080, I think 1449€ in Europe. Cheaper 4080, which was planned to be released as 4070Ti but got renamed a month ago, for $899 and over €1k in Evropa. I guess that's not much for the well paid but lonely IT professional who needs to get maximum FPS out of his waifu simulator which I guess is the target demographic. That's probably more than my whole PC costs tho and I can load any recent game and play them on high settings.

The xx80 class hike is pretty crazy, from 699 to 1199. Even the cheaper model is a $200 hike and it really shouldn't be an xx80 class card, even looking at the leaks it won't be 50% faster than 3080.

any idea what the power consumption will be?

Edit: it's here and surprisingly not that bad. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/compare/

You probably will be able to buy a full hp desktop for 1000 euro with a 4070rtx
