Well nvidia finally announced the 40 series - the scam 4080 was confirmed (they slapped a 4080 label on a 4070 so they could crank the price up) and they set absurd prices on the 4090/actual 4080.
Will amd take a short term loss to gain a lot of market share and build brand loyalty, or will they greed out like nvidia? Find out in November.

Nobody gives a frick about gaming cards, as of this quarter Nvidia made more from selling enterprise cards than gaming cards. VCs have been throwing money at anything that uses "ay eye" for years now.
If you want to train/deploy neural networks, your two options are Nvidia cards or Google's shitty cloud only TPUs. That's it
They don't give a frick if nobody buys 4090s. The chip that would go in a 4090 is now going into an enterprise card thats identical except it has 5x more VRAM and costs 20x more
