Meta’s VR platform Horizon is too buggy and employees aren’t using it enough, says exec

Meta’s VR social network Horizon Worlds — the company’s flagship “metaverse” app — is suffering from too many quality issues and even the team building it isn’t using it very much, according to internal memos obtained by The Verge.

Simply put, for an experience to become delightful and retentive, it must first be usable and well crafted.”

“Why don’t we love the product we’ve built so much that we use it all the time?”

Everyone in this organization should make it their mission to fall in love with Horizon Worlds.

He went on to call out specific issues with Horizon, writing that “our onboarding experience is confusing and frustrating for users” and that the team needed to “introduce new users to top-notch worlds that will ensure their first visit is a success.”

We are working on a product that has not found product market fit.

Because even the engineers working on this shit can see that the whole thing is a farce, for them it’s just a paycheque.

Will the metaverse even be able to beat VRChat at this point? :marseythinkorino:

Man scanning through your post history… its absolutely pathetic. Just scan through it yourself, and ask are those the posts of a stable guy with things going on in his life? Serious question, how old are you? Why do you constantly post about how shitty and whiney Reddit is but then spend time on it? Says a lot more about you than it does about this site.

come on this is a psyop preamble to the bug-post in 18 months where the employees describe themselves as using metaverse daily to communicate and develop with their diverse team. and the product will genuinely be good/fun. "we overcame the adversity and complex challenges etc etc". early adopters will start using it. then after 5 years your boss will hand you a vr headset with a tracker to make sure the headset doesn't leave your wfh registered adress and you will be expected to wear it for at least an hour every day. you WILL eat the bugs.
