3rd party hall effect sticks exist today. They’re braindead easy to install if you don’t care about capacitive touch in the analogue sticks, otherwise it requires some v basic soldering. I installed em perfectly fine despite being a danger to myself when I wield a soldering iron :marseyretard3:

Are third party ones even needed? I thought valve was selling all the replacements you need to rebuild one

The first party ones are potentiometer analogue sticks which are vulnerable to stick drift issues and require fat deadzones. Hall effect ones cost like $40 but well worth it, they’re really accurate.

They do, but you have a lot of software cowtools to help mitigate issues(also 3rd party halleffect sticks are being made)
