Imagine using the text app, here in the UK everyone either uses messenger or WhatsApp.

It's true. Especially for group messages when Im texting my poverty friends it's always such a nightmare.

                                                                                                                                                                   Trans lives matter

But that's an apple design decision. Androids can do group messages and were even compatible with apple at one point before apple branched off and made their own protocols for it.

Apple made their own protocol because it took RCS over a decade to see the light of day, and even then it was half-assed. When you're stuck on a multi-company committee it takes eons for anything to come to pass

Honestly they took so long its barely even worth it nowadays anyways. Telecom companies have to maintain an entire separate messaging core of servers even though 90% of their customers are using whatsapp or their regional equivalent instead.

literally every single person i know. mid 20s here and no one uses snapchat, insta or groomercord to talk. it’s solely texting and facetiming

Whats the point of facetiming, why you gotta all look at eachothers faces when you talk on the phone

Literally the opposite for me. everyone I know uses snap, groupme, groomercord or telegram and I’m mid 20’s as well

I think it’s cause most people I know are very normie in that they played high school sports, parents all had money, we all went to colleges and joined fraternities and other stuff like that. Basically it’s a bunch of people who don’t care about weird niche internet shit and would rather talk face to face rather than talk on a phone. None of them have groomercords and none of us have used snapchat or insta to message each other since like high school

My fraternity used Snapchat and GroupMe for stuff it might just be where your at in the US. I’d be curious to see regional differences in messaging/social media usage

well we used groupme for massive frat chats but outside of that it was all texts

my region is very very south but not southern

Trying to herd the frickers to a philanthropy without GroupMe or an equivalent would be fricking miserable
