lmfao, just why? Absolutely no way you have a publicly accessible ip either, even over v6. And if you're going to tunnel you could just pay $3/mo for an ultracheap vps; I can't imagine irc is very resource heavy.

Its a pretty stupid request regardless of context. Why run a server on your phone if you need to "keep track" of it? Just use your phone as a client to connect to your server at home.

I wanna say this is a dumb kid but they dont know what IRC is. I literally had a zoomer ask me what it was last week and I felt really fricking old.

I teach a class that covers IRC because the DOD still uses it and I would explain it in the past as the chat worked that predated AIM and MSN messenger and I've been getting blank stairs during that.
