Well, obviously, they don’t get promoted on our “Join Mastodon” website or in our app. So whatever they do, they do on their own and completely separately, and the other administrators that run their own Mastodon servers, when they find out that there’s a new hate speech server, they may decide that they don’t want to receive any messages from the server and block it on their end.

Mastodon makes me wonder if the censorship crew is going to try to come after open source software next because chuds might use it.

been doing it for years. I remember a guy who worked on Tor (literally the anti-censorship software) tried to blacklist some urls/bitcoin wallets because they were "gambling scams". When he was asked to step down the internet freaked out, as if he didn't just try to censor an anti-censorship project
