As it should be, unironically. If you're hiring the best where would most of your talent come from? The U.S. is 400 million, the world is +8 billion.

You think there's something magic about AmeriKKKan mutt workers and their education system? Kids in China are learning Calculus in pre-school. If the hiring system in tech were purely fair and unbiased, it would be over for all but the 0.0001% in this country.

Asians, particularly pajeeets, lack the capacity for creative thinking. Genetically. Incapable. Look at all of their modern culture it’s painfully derivative of western sources from 40 years ago. Pajeeets literally bathe in shit. So I guess they’ll be great over at Twitter :marseytunaktunak:

people who can barely speak english have no hope in managing the complexity of ever expanding business logic,

so they just don't, and the code becomes spaghetti, making some of the most asinine decisions in code/api design, or lack of design, ever.

There are other visa programs for exceptionally skilled people like O1 and some of the EB visas. H1b is literally the lowest tier white collar temp worker visa. The USA definitely needs skilled workers from other counties but saying h1b is the cream of the crop is blatantly wrong

People on H1Bs aren't a monolithic group, I'm guessing the foreign workers at twitter making $400K are pretty skilled. I'd certainly take them any day over blue haired zoomers spending half their time on reddit and antiwork all day, and spending the other half doing pointless shit like forking master to main.

They can follow processes, but they lack creativity. Also, if the Chinese were so smart why are there so many videos of them falling down elevator shafts or getting sucked into other forms of machinery? :marseyhmm::marseyhmm::marseyhmm:

It's been pretty hilarious seeing the wokes trot out this line too. There's a lot of East and South Asians so they must all be visa hostages, right?

I mean, it's probably true, but spelling it out like that is Not Very Polite.
