From my understanding:
Apple will offer 3 months free of which ever service for a new purchase, which will show up in the settings app
Apple News has ads in it
The app store just started having ads for apps in the Today section, when previous it was just in searching
The stocks app has an integrated Apple News w/ presumably some ads in it
iOS 16.2 will feature a Apple News section in the weather app w/ presumable some ads in it
The Twitter thread from Mysk as far as I know has not been verified by anyone else
I suppose these are possible. Who knows.
I think the drama is people are upset that Apple is going the way of Google and they're getting all schized out about it and will believe anything that points towards Apple siphoning all your data into Tim Cook's bussy.
This post from orange chuds sums it up
"These claims have no merit but I'm going to freak out anyway!"
I'm an Apple cute twink though so feel free to disregard anything I say like a dirty c*m sock
