i work on a 7000 file project and the "slowess" of typescript doesn't really bother me. flow did, flow was slow as balls but we migrated to ts 2 months ago.

also ... why not assemblyscript instead of rust?

I don't know what happened recently but newer versions of eslint and vscode are giving me a lot of headaches on some react ts projects. Suddenly everything because so fricking slow. I have the basic eslint config and still its so laggy. I kinda blamed it on my old 2600k based pc but now I am wondering what could the real problem be

i am running on an M1 max. ugh, it prolly is slow but power increases keep masking how shitty our code is.

dude is prolly right. doing some of these AoC problems in asscript instead of typescript gave me speedups of like 50x
