All this sneeding is kind of funny, because it's all from digital artists who apparently don't know art history, or don't care.

The idea of what defines art changed over a hundred years ago, with people like Duchamp putting a urinal into a gallery, and even before that the invention of photography making representational paintings less important. And way before that, esteemed painters like Peter Paul Rubens made wagies do all the actual painting for them (having a workshop was quite common at the time)

Even photoshop and other digital painting programs have a bunch of different cowtools that speed up the process, you can use textures, downloaded brushes, change blending options, use filters, etc.

Nobody is going too read this bc of trans lives matter curse but "artists" with no knowledge of art make @elfbinn mad.

I feel like a lot of people have forgotten about the part of art where you can put it on the wall. Like to some extent the value of art is now not in seeing it, as a tangible object, but simply in the abstract image.

@DeadCat already commented that @DeadCat was basically already doing this type of shit 20 years ago with 3dsmax. This is just another level and is fricking fantastic.

Do you think that trans lives matter?

@elfbinn really don't understand why they're so mad, half their art is in the same style anyway, and you can use it too render backgrounds and stuff way faster, then edit too make it look how you want :marseyshrug: (most of these people just edited pre-made bgs and textures for their shitty character designs in the first place)

@elfbinn don't do much digital art besides making trans lives matter marseys, so maybe it just doesn't affect @elfbinn as much, but it's still r-slurred

I must be the only digital arttard on the planet that wants to be replaced by an AI.

I want the AI to make all the r-slurred ideas I want in an instant, but it can't cope with how stupid my ideas are. They'll need to drop the "I" in "AI" to even begin comprehending what I want.

If artists like Rembrandt could make students do all the tedious work for them, then what's the big difference with making a computer do it? Make it make sense
