Hard to believe just a decade ago or even 3-5 years ago, Reddit was known as a bastion of free speech.

Reddit was actually pretty good quite ,but then Trump got elected and fried the brains of every one on the site and even non political subreddits got filled with politics

Reddit ~13 years ago was fricking amazing. It was like HackerNews but open to people not in the tech industry.
True story: in high school I had some convo with this girl on Reddit, realized we lived in the same rural area. I drove to her house with a couple of buddies. We just hung out and had a good time. Drove there & home doing like 110 in my Dad's BMW 320i on roads so twisty, I wish I could say where it was without doxxing myself. On the way back a thunder storm came near and we opened up the windows + sunroof blasting music. Most ALIVE we've ever felt. And I have that girl to thank.
Wish I could remember her name. C'est la vie of getting old. But I wish her the best.
Nowadays you'd have to hold a gun to my head to DM a blue haired foid on Reddit.![:marseyitsover: :marseyitsover:](/e/marseyitsover.webp)
Normies ruined the Internet. We should make it hard to get on
