Original research effortpost: Over half of banned Twitter users have now been unbanned (latest batch include Stefan Molyneux, Bill Mitchell, Team Trump, and Sam Hyde)

I've been following this for a while now, and from my sample whom were ALL previously banned, over half of them have come back to life thanks to rocket daddy taking over.

So I created a graph to see if I could spot a pattern in the unbans. Looks like it's a bit sporadic. Just more and more people being unbanned over time. I'm somewhat convinced that these 82 'pet' accounts I've been watching represent the greater Twitter community, and because 43 have been unbanned, that shows that Elon has kept to his word and really has unbanned over half so far.

As previously said, I also included many 'random' and controversial much smaller accounts, and these two are seeing a decent unban rate too, just like the big accounts with lots of followers.

Btw, Nick Fuentes was unbanned yesterday, but was rebanned today. Ooops.

"random" and "high profile/ controversial" is kinda contradictory

Nick Fuentes also got his account unbanned so he can stop crying about having to catboy hunt on gab and telegram.

I agree, but I think the smaller accounts, regardless of how controversial they may be, are a good indicator for the rest of the Twitter pleblings. I've also heard anecdotally how average users are getting their accounts back.

Nick Fuentes also got his account unbanned

As I said, rebanned: https://twitter.com/NickJFuentes

do you know if it's only older bans that are getting reversed for normal people? friend lost a good account this month and i kinda figure it's gone for good, would love to hear otherwise tho

I'll try to be positive - There's always that chance that Elon is still cleaning house and has yet to fire some of the more persistent Twitter daycare watchers. Unfortunately though I would imagine less chance than if your friend was banned before Elon took over.

Assuming you don't have your account back.

Have some bad news. I did one last final update to this table, and only an extra 2.5% of banned users have been unbanned. I think the "great unbanning" stage has now finished.

I'll commiserate with you in misery :marseysulk:

Fricked up :marseycrying: thank you for letting me know king <3 at least it seems like it's really hard to get perma'd now...

I check back in on this one twitter GC which has this based alpha rightoid chad who likes making chud jokes but is really sensitive when the jokes are about anything he faces, neighbour literally got long covid :marseyxd: people set up a 2nd GC just to talk about getting him banned so they don't have to walk on eggshells while joking with their buddies and it's kinda funny how much twitter just doesn't give a shit anymore lmao they can't get anything to stick

Oh that's good at least! Yeah that's what happens when you fire 80% of your staff as Elon said, there just isn't the manpower any more for pointless banning.
