Good morning, drama. What are some good security people to follow (blogs, soshual meeedya, whatever)

Been tryina up my game instead of being lazy and coasting. I'd like to follow security people but most are just shills for their stupid Udemy course. What are some good security people to follow? Maybe a groomercord server(s) too?

Right now I follow NahamSec and enjoy his content. Also watch this guy hack and he's cool but not on very often.

https://www.hackerfactor.com/blog/ maybe? altho it's more of detecting faked images :marseymeme: and shit but i find it interesting

maybe some of the OSINT nonsense too, i have a couple :marseycommielove: of OSINT links saved in my bookmarks so maybe they're useful:

Thank you! I'm mostly interested in networking exploits which I guess would incorporate web applications too. Most things are watered down for ads and mainstream media doesn't get into details, and it's the forensics stuff that I really like.

I very much appreciate the links and will check them out!

i glanced through the recent posts a bit and i think :marseymischevious: he did some forensics nonsense on the pdfs of trump's recent indictment

Follow people that publish and/or fix security vulnerabilities for big projects. They tend to have blogs and the like.

Not security but an example of what I'm talking about: https://rwmj.wordpress.com/2023/06/14/i-booted-linux-292612-times/

Thank you! That's the kind of stuff I like. I'm a boomer and like to read too and don't want vidya but I do watch filthy streamers.

Nice, glad my suggestion was useful. Search engines are terrible at finding these small blogs. The best way to find them is for a news article to write about these exploits and follow the link back to the og blog posts. This guy: https://youtube.com/@BrodieRobertson posts these types of things every one in awhile, such as the one I already posted and this one about smart voice assistants. He posts the blogs deep in the description under "Resources".

yeah I think this stuff is something you need to find using referrals. Any search will just come up with some butthole shilling a dumb course. And thanks for the link to that guy. I'll follow him too.
