Does anyone here actually use a microwave regularly? I never owned one my adult life and I'm not sure any of my friends even own one now that I think about it.

I said I'm not sure, because I honestly don't really think about them and have never used one at their house.

It's entirely possible some own them.

I have a hard time believing that you know anyone outside of this website or groomercord, based on those last few posts.

I thought being called a non-American was the worst insult I would get, but now I am accused of being on groomercord? All for not using a microwave lol

Several times a day. It's excellent for giving you a quick wet heat and has an unjustified poor reputation from foodies. If you know how to use it, you can quickly and efficiently heat up certain kinds of food.

Things that don't need a dry heat? Leftover vegetables do just fine.

I'm with you. Years ago I had one and would eat shit like stouffers that had the plastic film over the top.

You could just tell from common sense that this was happening, because after you microwaved it the film on the top would seem flimsier, like it was thinner.

Microwaves are probably fine if you put stuff in there without anything or like, you stick a piece of pizza on a paper towel or something.. But Idk.

They sort of just weird me out so I never bought one again after I moved. Also just not really a big fan of how microwaves heat stuff inconsistently and with stuff like pizza they make it super rubbery.

Plastics become softer when heated?

Even after it cooled down, though.

It would also seem like there was a film on top of the food.

If you've ever eaten microwaved stouffers mac and cheese you would know what I'm talking about.

After you peel back the film and mix it there's like a film on top of it. You can just tell something bad is going on there.

Have you ever heated food without plastic? Microwave heating just heats up food in a dofferent way from ovens, i guess its the lack of hot air ventilatiom, that normally makes re-heated food drier, thats the reason it seems so weird from the microwave.

i got a combination microwave / air fryer

it can heat stuff up without making the outside slimy and gross

Yeah this is the main reason i don't use them. Heating on the stove is much better

It does come with a decrease in premade food consumption because frozen shit takes forever in the oven.

I have one but don't use it. I dislike heating food in it, i use pots for that. At most ill heat tortilla breads or choccy milk in the microwave
