A 42-year-old Pennsylvania woman said she felt saddened that she spent $40,000 on Big Fish Casino while working as an addiction counselor.

"The whole time I was working as an addiction counselor, I was addicted to gambling and with no hope of winning any money back," she said.

No fricking way. These people have broken brains. :marseyshitforbrains: I've probably wasted more money on dumb shit than I should have, but holy frick at least it was mostly drugs or clothes.

The gambling industry in general is evil. Even the "legit" brick-and-mortar casinos in Vegas. Gambling should be illegal nation-wide.

I never bought the idea that vegas "cleaned up" and rid itself of organized crime, by the way. The mob is still very much there, just more quiet.

The fact that casinos and the mob are inseparable is reason enough to ban it. Even if you're a sociopath who doesn't care that people are ruining themselves, that alone is reason to oppose legalized gambling.

IMO it would be pretty r-slurred for a state gov to ban slot machines while also promoting the state lotto.

I think slot machines should have to advertise exactly how much the average payout is per pull. Maybe they already do, I don't really gamble so I don't know, but it should have to say like "Each pull is $1. Average payout is $0.85."

Bro what? At least gambling addicts can cope with the fact that they win something sometimes and totally aren't just going to put it back into the machine. This is just fricking r-slurred, holy shit.

The cure is to get them hooked on Diablo II, Path of Exile, and Grim Dawn. It's basically the same loop of disappointment punctuated by occasional euphoria, but you're not charged for the privilege of pulling the lever (well, PoE has charges for cosmetics and stash tabs, but only stash tabs are needed to keep the core gameplay loop going).

Alas, then they would then be proper g#mers, but they would be richer.

Edit: I also want to add, Bossmanjack, pathetic as he is, makes more sense than these people. Yeah he's an r-slur, but I can kind of grok his brain-circuits, maaan: get lucky > get rich > continue ad infinitum to monetary godhood. But if there's no chance of getting returns from the gamba, if you pay for the sensation of abstract gambling "victory" even divorced from any simulated world or robust gameplay loop, I literally cannot fathom that. Loot boxes in games make more sense than that, and those are r-slurred; at least with loot boxes you get something for your little computer dude, and if your game supports trade you might even be able to recoup losses if you don't mind your account getting b& for RMT afterwards.

The reviews are sad. The paypiggies get banned (like why, surely you want them back to buy more) and they then complain on reviews to the app store. They should be glad to be free from their casino addiction.

Dont want the whales to leave the app and if they cant talk with other people they cant find a competing app.

I just hacked your web application.

FAQ

What does this mean?

I have found a severe vulnerability (CVSS score >= 7. in your live web application.

Why did you do this?

There are several reasons I may search for vulnerabilities in a web application. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Personal interest,

  • Fulfilling a challenge,

  • Monetary incentives.

Am I in danger?

No - not yet. But you should fix the beforementioned vulnerability ASAP. Otherwise I will be forced to issue a security release, which may put your web application in jeopardy.

I don't believe my web application has a vulnerability. Can you prove it?

Sure, mistakes happen. But only in exceedingly rare circumstances will acclaim a false vulnerability. If you would like to issue an appeal, shoot me a private message explaining why I am wrong. I tend to respond to rDrama PMs within several minutes. Do note, however, that over 99.9% of vulnerability appeals are rejected, and yours is likely no exception.

How can I prevent this from happening in the future?

Fix the vulnerability and move on. But learn from this mistake: your mistakes will not be tolerated on rDrama. I will continue to find vulnerabilities until you improve your code. Remember: Safe code is privilege, not a right.
