Orange Pi, Arduino, and a lot of Raspberry Pi alternatives are way better for the price. It depends on the use case, but I usually prefer to buy used think stations and optiplexes and switch out or add the components that I want.

Yeah mini-PCs are the kino choice.

The ARM Pi alternatives are iffy as well because you'll be stuck running an old kernel version or entire OS when the manufacture stops giving a shit (usually within two weeks).

I have been enjoying the Le Potato though.
