Groomercord is laying off 17 percent of its staff, a move that CEO Jason Citron said is meant to “sharpen our focus and improve the way we work together to bring more agility to our organization.”
The cuts were announced today to employees in an all-hands meeting and internal memo I've obtained. They'll impact 170 people across various departments.

Frick Groomercord and frick everyone who contributed to it growing. Back in my days forum no-lifers were rightfully ridiculed. Now they suck each other off in Groomercord chatrooms 24/7 and get admin privileges. And the moving of information from indexable web pages to closed off servers infuriates me even more.

Groomercord killing forums is the absolute worst, there are so many useful resources that you can't find with search engines anymore and I hate it.

I for one look forward to the inevitable Groomercord hack that releases everyone's "private" conversations. I'm sure the AI bros will make good use of the data when the levee breaks.

You could say the same about literally every social media or networking site. Hasn't happened yet though, to my knowledge, and Groomercord is a pretty secondary target anyway compares to Facebook, Google, IG, and Twitter. Especially because the connection between a Groomercord handle and a real-life identity is tenuous at best, unlike a Facebook profile.
