I had a 2007 Honda Civic hybrid and i never should have gotten rid of it. Easy 50mpg and it was like $25 to fill it up. Also it was dead silent i could have totally done drive-by shootings in it.

This seems like a dumb oversight. Just have heating elements around the cold-sensitive parts (the batteries) that are powered directly by the charger and don't require a minimum battery% to operate.
