[boring tech post] For the first time in my life I found a scrape harddrive that was actually wiped (maybe)!

Looking thru a scrape pile for some 3/4ths copper pipe I found a LaCie d2 Quadra and naturally took it apart to save the sata to usb board but discovered this 14 year old enclosure had a 2TB!

I did what literally every !codecel who's ever worked tech support does and imminently started snooping but to my shock :marseyshook: and horror :marseyscream: found it had been wiped (maybe)! It's a HFS (apple) file system with 0 mb used on the main partition

Going to try and recover any files for the lulz and because I like to snoop :marseydetective:

I do NOT!

I just make moonshine and want to upgrade my still from half inch :marseymoonshine: so I can add a thumper without worrying about back pressure

TL:DR a 2nd parasitic boiler you pipe the main boiler into after filling with fruit to flavour the liquor and back pressure will cause the stills seal to pop and either spray me with boiling beer, catch fire or both

You basically have to be an r-slur to keep yourself safe with a still these days but I'm still not taking chances.

LOL i was gonna make a stillin joke

I didn't know there were possible backpressure issues on a thumper. What causes them?

My thumper is like 2/3 the size of my still so idk if it would be a problem

Over filling and small pipe. Tbh it probably wouldn't be an issue anyway I just don't want to chance it

Makes sense. Under 3/4 for the stack is gonna make stilling take forever anyway.

I have 3/4 from pot to thumper, then 3/4 down to 1/2 to the worm, down to 3/8 for the worm itself
