Honestly relatable (not necessarily with Python specifically). But I'd never admit this in a non-anon setting, especially if I were a BIPOC “data scientist” at a major university. Most people already presume you're regarded and were given the job solely because you're BIPOC.
I've only met one BIPOC programmer who would have gotten the job irrespective of race, and he was Ethiopian, which is only sorta kinda BIPOC (and definitely not BIPOC according to them).

I know a Somali (2nd gen) and plenty of FoB Nigerians who are code wizards. They don't have the cultural pressure to not excel, and actually are prob driven to do well for their family's sake.
