If im gonna get a dedicated gameboy device Im gonna pick up somewith with a gorgeous screen like an analogue pocket. Otherwise my steam deck works. Heck my phone is OLED and better then this

I'm not really into handhelds this size. You can use your phone to emulate anything that would be playable on this and you'd have about the same user experience. At least with Steam Deck and other large handhelds you're getting enough power to emulate or play most games.

A dedicated device is probably a smoother experience. Just linked that because they are actually really useful and make gaming on mobile actually fun.

It's small, fits in the pocket and I remember seeing that there are 3D prints for it that hold both the controller and the phone like a gameboy, basically sliding in the phone.

Although propping it somewhere still works well
