>ERMMM YOU SHOULD GET FREE CELLULAR SERVICE BECAUSE... BECAUSE... YOU JUST SHOULD OKAY?.

You're such a dumb BIPOC if you don't know their remote start software can be operated from anywhere with an internet connection making it de facto free cell service

!commenters someone argue with xir here, no, finding compatible ev charging locations, and close service stations is not remote start and dosent require you to use their app

Google maps already exists, why do you expect free services from Mazda? Also nice goal post shifting dumb BIPOC

They said it did all of these things. Only one or two of these things might need a cell phone connection in the car maybe. They took the whole thing down and are charging out the butt for the whole package. You can connect to your cars wifi for all of it. The github wasnt offering remote start or unlock.

Yes, you don't just get to access services built by a company for free, still shifting goalposts, still requires a cell network if your car is the searching any of those

New cars are connected to the cell network anyway for emergencies (and OTA updates to brick it)

Do you know what the app was? Are you just arguing with what you think it was?

Mazda claimed that list, but the app does less. Ill continue the conversation when you can tell me accurately what the app did. Any other response will be ignored.

Shifted goalposts, thanks for removing yourself from the conversation. It the app is built into the car it's cell service, simple as

It's ten bucks a month neighbor. Every manufacturer that offers connected services charges about ten bucks.

Most of that shit is just gimmicks. "Monitor vehicle health" is oil life percentage.

It's this with a Mazda logo

The navigation is built-in, map data stored locally, but the connected services (traffic, business lookup, etc) are free for 3 years.

If it's getting data downloaded or otherwise, and a cursory glance at your list suggests they are, it requires a connection. They did eat those costs for awhile but companies are tightening their belts for the habbening

I'll add Mazda's approach is on the Jewish side of things admittedly when I think about other manufactures

they're DMCAing scripts for remote starting the engine.

admittedly sending a "start engine" command from your phone to your car requires downloading 800MB hentai every time you do it. that's just how modern audiences car engines work.

Have to also remember there's probably something like a million Mazdas globally with remote start

so true, in order to transmit the 3 byte "start engine" signal from your phone to your car, Mazda has to maintain the world's largest hentai database. because that's the only way to connect your car to your phone.

crazy that a single guy on github could achieve the same in 20 lines of code without connecting to mazda's hentai cloud at all. must be one of those evil genius hackers!

Lol not saying I agree with it, just that I understand why Mazdas bean counters are putting a more blanket stop on vehicle connectivity
