Zoom reinvents e-mail but with way more steps and far less efficient

https://www.theverge.com/2024/10/9/24266007/zoom-ai-avatars-clips-talk-for-you

To create a digital avatar, you'll need to record an initial video of yourself that Zoom's AI will use to make an avatar that looks — and even sounds — like you. From there, you can write the message you want your AI avatar to say and then have it do all the talking for you. This feature will only work with Zoom's Clips feature, allowing you to record brief video updates for your colleagues.

The custom AI avatars are rolling out early next year as part of Zoom's custom AI Companion add-on, which will cost an extra $12 per month.

You know that HR losers and middle managers who need to fill their day by looking productive are going to love this shit. :marseycoffee#:

I mean all languages whose script is not based on latin that are syllabaries and whatnot are clusterfricks that just can't be fit into a keyboard. Chinese relies on the phonetics with zhuyin or pinyin, or shape based inputs like cangjie, dayi, or zhengma. Japanese is the same, and korean is the only one that can fit into a Qwerty keyboard by employing the left side for consonants, the right side for vowels, and using shift for the rest of the vowels and consonants. SEA languages in Cambodia or Laos are clusterfricks in xeir own and no companies is willing to invest or create a model for those languages that is viable since no one really cares about third worlders in a jungle so !asians

Yes, but people mostly learn them for specialized jobs, especially in the countryside. But considering the country's deep connection with Buddhism, it won't go out anytime soon.

And people still buys scrolls every year for decorations.

As long as someone is out there willing to teach it, some zoomers will definitely learn it for commercial uses, or just for archiving a part of history.

Is that Khmer? Most asian languages are like that tbqhwyf. For example cantonese is hard to type, and you either use a shape based input, send a voice message, or make it so that your voice gets transcribed into text and then you correct the errors you made
