I like Reagan's willingness to give howling 3rd world savages the butt-kicking they deserve. I like Reagan's willingness to speak the only language which the Soviets understand -- force (and no little Amy, there has not been a nuclear war). The economy is better than under Carter.
The nation seems more confident although I do not think the USA has regained respect on the world scene.
But Reagan is letting the environment get really messed up. And the political issues are ephemeral while the planet is permanent. Therefore, I am voting for Mondale. By the way, isn't it amusing, that in terms of deficit spending to stimulate the economy Reagan is the most democrat president ever.

TC, you got the facts wrong. True, a bipartisan coalition increased social program funding by more than 5 billion, but also trimmed enough off Reagan's proposed 14% defense increase so that Congress appropriated only 5 (count 'em) billion dollars more than Reagan requested overall.
Now, Reagan may beef that Congress spent the money on the WRONG things, but not because they spent too MUCH. Reagan's original budget called for the same tax levels and only five billion less on spending.
Thus, Reagan, had he had his way, would have reduced the whopping 180 billion dollar deficit to a mere 175 billion.
As far as Reagan increasing social spending in real terms, this is true, but only because the Senate Republicans forced him to abandon some of his more dramatic proposed cuts. However, many programs, especially those targeted towards children (after all, they can't vote), have suffered real cuts. It is ironic that the Reagan administration is most avid about cutting those programs which are among the few which may actually be working as hoped.

What the frick are they even referring to? By 1984 Reagan got us into... uhh...
The peacekeeping mission to Lebanon that was about helping the Palestinians and Lebanese.
The invasion of Grenada, which was the most justified military operation ever and really popular there.
Carter, Ford, etc. were much more aggressive using military force against "howling 3rd world savages".

lol is that C++? Wait are you binding that with Python?! Imagine using those over Rust. As a proud Rustacean and Ferris the Crab adorer, I regret to inform you that your taste in languages sucks. This is sad. You can do better. You know how easy package and dependancy management is with Cargo? Not to mention you don't even need a Makefile. It's great. Dynamically typed languages need to die. There's no other option. They just do. If you like dynamic typing, you need some help. Seriously. By using a dynamically typed and interpreted language (which means its @#*!&!@ slow!!!), you are committing genocide and harming the environment more than gas cars. Rust is fast and uses clean, renewable energy through the magic of being a language compiled with LLVM. Tired of memory bugs? You should be. Shame on you for still having them when Rust exists. Tired of being bad? Time to go to Rust. Tired of being slow because you're not smart and your friends laugh at you? Rust is quite speedy indeed (all thanks to the big brain of the compiler). Tired of not getting off the normal way? Match statements, loops, and the compiler for Rust give the best orgasms 10/10 (completely legit). Not to mention the superiority you get to feel when you show off your superior Rust code to your inferior "friends" still using some other language. Want to get rid of malware? Rust is safe, therefore malware is noware (also completely legit). You quite honestly will forget about any other language (including English because it's slow and unsafe). You even get to add the Rust Book and its brothers to your Bible collection alongside the Arch and Gentoo Wikis. All hail Rust. TempleOS pales in religious comparison to the faith of Rustaceans. Graydon Hoare is Jesus. Amen.
