It's when you install software in any way other than the app store.

This is painful because there's a lot of 'ware out there that's not on the app store and this basically makes it so maccels can't run anything that isn't 100% certified.

G*mers will feel the pain as well due to indie games and open source freeware most likely not being able to get cert'd. It's over.

You can still install programs not on the app store. I just installed crap over brew and installed Kate which is foss and not approved. !applechads
