I don't think I've ever seen a Twitter dispute that was so one-sided. All the people who understand tech, on both right and left, are on one side, and the other side is just anonymous accounts and political commentators.

Paul Graham, Ycombinator VC hacker news jesus, who left America to live in a rich UK enclave far away from the Bay Area homeless mecca, has apparently never met an American tech worker that is upset with the devaluation of their labor with cheap foreign replacements

It's hilarious to see tech leaders panic the second anything threatens to prevent them from hiring Asians. The entire tech sector is based on finding people who are both smart enough to code and either financially desperate or mentally machine-minded enough to be willing to spend hours a day writing CRUD crap in an agile style. If the tech sector was limited to having to hire whiteoids like me, the owners might have to actually pay even more than they currently are, since while plenty of whiteoids are financially desperate, the supply of ones who are neurodivergent enough to code all the time might not be enough to provide for the needs of the tech sector. After all, when you make stupid architectural decisions that make it so that you have to change 30 files just to modify the color of a button on the website, you need smart people who are willing to do the most boring thing in existence, CRUD programming, to bail you out.

Lmbo. What shithole do you work at that it takes editing 30 files to change the color of a button? I think that says more about you than anything else.
