Almost like there is a correlation

That's right, a negative correlation.

:marseymat#h:

And still people donate money to these crooks lol

I'd be comfortable donating towards the development of Firef*x. Currently, that is impossible.

So is Wikipedia. Every year those scammers lie abut being on a verge of bankrupcy. All the while they spend less than 13% of money raised on actual wikipedia, rest goes into SF offices, executive compensation, "outreach" and building a trust which is already in hundreds of millions and would found wiki operation infinitely just from interest already.

:#pepemath:

Interestingly, if you pay enough attention to this graph, the most accentuated downfall in market share coincides with the least rise in chair's pay. When chair's pay increased the most, market share was dropping at a lower rate.

!braveshills can't stop winning. This is what you get for kicking out our God Brendan Eich over a 10k donation.

It's only a matter of time FurryFricks users. Might as well join the kool kids now https://brave.com/ :marseysmug:

How are Mozzarellacels still not realizing their browser was a monopoly scarecrow for Google?

Mozzarella may be a monopoly scarecrow, but Firef*x (read: not Mozzarella) is the only thing keeping Google from having an actual monopoly on browser tech

No, that's Apple with Safari and WebKit.

Safari and webkit aren't really competing in any meaningful way.

if you use any apple :marseyphoneglued: device webkit is the most power :marseychaosemerald: efficient browser :marseyfirefox: framework, plus it's the only way to use promotion (120 fps) on your browser :marseyfirefox:

Not true, I've used Firef*x and a 144Hz monitor with a Mac years before "promotion" was ever a thing.

okay so I googled and turns out you can use higher refresh rates with other browsers, although you have to manually enable it (for safari :marseymajorgeneral: and chrome at least). the difference :marseypamsame: in battery :marseysmokealarmbeep: usage is a major :marseygaygeneral: difference :marseypamsame: though, if you have an imac/mac then you should :marseynorm: use whatever :marseyjerkoffsmile: makes you feel good (although idk why you'd get a mac desktop computer). if you have a macbook :marseylaptop: it's basically a requirement to use safari, especially if you're running :marseychaser: intense apps like Final :marseyblackmage: Cut/photoshop/fusion/anything.

They make up a bulk of Web traffic in the US. If you ignore Safari you ignore a lot of $$.

A lot of people buy apple products and they happen to ship with safari by default.

Thats not being competitive as a software.

It means they can strong arm google into preventing web standards from becoming completely universal like FLoC or WebBluetooth / WebMIDI / WebUSB / etc. because they have actual valuable market share.

https://www.zdnet.com/article/apple-declined-to-implement-16-web-apis-in-safari-due-to-privacy-concerns/

And just as evidence this isn't !schizos cope :marseyschizotwitch: , Chrome actually did ship their WebMIDI but just rawdogged the security portions so trackers just slurped up that data :marseyxd:

If it ran on Windows maybe, but it's not achieving anything stuck where it is

It has the ability to strong arm Google unlike Firef*x in the standards department.

If Apple doesn't add a feature to mobile Safari it blocks Google from going all in.

Mozzarella is going to lose 6 gorillion dollars of funding because googletards are about to lose their monopoly lawsuit. :marseychudgravedance:

All the better IMO: Mozzarella uses that funding for nothing but social programs. The actual browser development could be funded by far less.

who tf cares. When I open a browser, I want something that works well. If google want to pay money to another company to make a better browser than them, I am pleased

That's the whole issue, when there's a browser monopoly, things stop working well because then they have free reign to shit up internet technologies if it benefits them to the detriment of everyone else who has no choice but to use that browser.
