Nah flatpaks are epic. Containerized shit is nice since it wont leave fricking random trash everywhere. Flatpaks are just a better version of .apps from apple since they are even tidier !applechads

.apps are not compressed. They are basically folders with executable and all its dependencies which is basically what a flatpak is. You can enter a Mac App like its a folder and see all the dependencies lol

To this day I have never figured out how to install or even run a flatpak. Appimage is the better format (you click it and it starts)

Because app images dont auto show up in the app menu and also dont have auto updating

Appimage feels like the only one that makes sense. Like, having extra repos for flatpaks or snaps just feels r-slurred. Replacing normal packages with snaps in the main repo is giga-r-slurred.
