How do I get into the trunk of my car when the key is fricked

I was driving past the local college the other day and got a flat tire

(During the process of changing my tire 8 other ppl pulled into the same gas station, also with flat tires - I suspect some local student planted a spike strip)

I'm procrastinating on getting a new tire :marseybearmerchant:

I attempted to access my backup car but the battery is dead

I jumped it with my primary car but it keeps dying so I have to jump it every time I go somewhere

I have a battery jumper in the trunk of my backup car which would make the process much easier but I can't get into the trunk because my key doesn't work on it anymore (the key filed itself down over time with use I think)

I also have a backup battery jumper but it is also broken (:marseymanysuchcases:)

There is plywood blocking it and I'm not tryna saw it out

Tryna pick the lock somehow (3D print key?)

you could introduce termites to eat through the plywood, it would also detract people from stealing your car if it's infested with termites

Do locksmiths not exist anymore? Also just get a new lock from your dealership and tell them it broke feom use.

3D print key?

Bad idea, 3D plastic isn't great and you don't want the key breaking in half in the keyway

Why is your back seat made of plywood?

I removed the back seat and replaced it with plywood

Yes, but why?

To make it more difficult to access and reduce thievery

Wouldn't the thief that broke into your car have a screw driver to remove the plywood?

It is specifically designed so it can only be unscrewed if you open the trunk door

What's stopping me from using the trunk release so I can unscrew the plywood and access the trunk through the back seat?

schizostory

my dad used to leave cars around and he would switch them often to confuse glowies or sth

my uncle once complained that dad asked him to drive him to the gas station, so he did and dad didn't come back in 30 minutes and it turned out he left in one of his cars without telling :marseybearmerchant:

the problem is they were all recognizable as bmw wagons filled to the brim with hoardmaxxed garbage :marseyantischizo:

How do I do that without breaking it

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

you don't, drilling it out means destroying it, if you don't want to do that you could hammer a flatheader screwdriver into it and try to turn it, works on old cars

Ask the beaten-up ladyboy you've got in there to:

  • somehow get their restraints off

  • peel back the carpet around the latch/lock mechanism

  • pull the rod thingy downwards
