BeOS-Inspired Haiku Makes Progress On Driver Porting, Plans For Usable RISC-V Images - Phoronix

https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Haiku-May-2022-Report

Haiku is gradually getting more support for more devices. I'm considering setting Haiku up in a VM and fiddling around and porting random shit for fun. Might port SDL2 or something over to it natively and ship it a patch to the SDL2 devs

Ok I not familiar but I try to slap. @nekobit why this a whole new OS wouldn't Linux DE be better. You'd get all the hardware support for free. Everything that made BeOS better in 1997 is now long been part of Linux and iterated many times over and imporved upon.

Also RISC-V has no use outside of FPGA. Remember to downmarsey and insult if you no agree. Cute twink.

Nvidia and WD are already shipping RISC-V in their products. I mean will we get x86 level chips? Probably not for another decade, but you can get rpi-level ones off AliExpress.
