LN2, or liquid nitrogen, is often used for benchmarking because it can provide a significant boost to performance. However, it's not the only way to benchmark and there's nothing wrong with using it.

It degrades your chip though. If you run it at excessively high voltages then it will gradually overclock for less - a phenomenon known as chip degradation. You should only use ln2 for if you don't care about the chip such as for overclocking competitions.
