They also did that, Balts consripted into red army fought nazis and Balts conscripted into waffen ss fought commies. Including being made to fight their own countryman at times.

Poles occupied by Soviets in '39 did assist in Holocaust in some pogroms, similar to Balts, Ukrainians and Belorussians. IIRC the Nazis preferred not to seek their help as they were playing divide et impera in (what they then fought would be) their new eastern colonies, and Poles got the short match.

Then there were more pogroms post war. ~300k Polish Jews survived the war, most saw the pogroms after (and communism) and noped right to Israel. Remainder were bullied out by polish commies after Israel beaten some Soviet-allied Arabs and hating on Jews became hip in 2nd world.
