Those long range missiles were legit a symbolic deterrent that if Russian use tactical nukes Ukraine will get tanks and long range missiles. But what will west do if Russia start cleaning tranches with tactical nukes now since Ukraine is about of receiving the last wunderwafel ?

Tac nukes would work better for dense troop formations or naval sections. Using them in an urban environment would be suicide for Russia.
Also smaller nukes have a 1.3 kiloton blast because cold war estimates showed most small cities were 2 kilotons away from each other, so you could wage tactical nuclear war away from cities.

Russian prepared souther ukraine for it, it evacuated all civilians from it so if Ukrainian break a line and enter a town population, there won’t be cover of civilians. This moment actually makes this conflict one of most r-slurred one when a smaller country with less people and tech is forced to go on offense. Turtling is mostly used by a smaller force, Ukraine had success with it in Kiev. They now not only cancelled the March, April and probably May (all spring counteroffensive) they also scaled down what considered success for them:
So by Ukrainian new success plan they will be in flat land in towns without any citizens
