I really, really hope these guys succeed. Russia may become a land of warlords soon so if they want a chance to become free and democratic they'll need to be armed and ready for the long fight.
This is probably Russia's only chance of redemption

>SO TRUE!

These guys (Russian Volunteers Corps) aren’t great and in terms of politics aren’t much better than Putin. Their leader (the man in the video) is a pretty open Nazi.
Oh no! A Nazi?!

Well, if they fight Putin, thats two birds with one stone, let the orcs eat each other aluve
Redditors falling over themselves to support their favorite nazis is soooo .

If they were really nazis, it seems really strange they would be so against Putin. He hates gays, he follows almost the entire fascist rulebook, imperialism, pompus ceremony, disregard for human life, symbols "Z" etc.
>it's extremely unlikely that far rightoids would ever fight each other!
It sounds to me like a "real nazi" would enjoy Putins regime very much. So maybe they are following a "home brewed" definition of "nazi". A quick history reminder:
This makes soooo much sense!
The Soviet regime was cruel and murderous, anti-religious and anti-Semitic.
So when the real nazis came, many people in the East (including some Ukrainians) were delighted to see an "anti-communistic" army that fought Soviets, and that at first glance didn't seem much more cruel than the Soviets.
In this perspective, the meaning of nazism is also "anti-Soviet" / "anti-Kremlin" / "anti-Muscovite", and for young rebellious people Im sure it also marks a generation shift by being anti "old communists".
Azov was quickly converted to a political neutral army fighting side by side with muslims, gays and jews. I don't think that would have worked if they were "nazis" the way we use this term in the West. Nazis were into racial segregation, to put it mildly.
But I may be wrong. Maybe these people want to kill jews and gays too and have no regard for human life. If so - that obviously is really bad news.
Wow! And Azov magically aren't nazis anymore! Gee willikers! Isn't reddit so smart!??

Lmfao you see soviets were the nazis at heart and poor ukrainians were relieved when brave nazis in the name only came to their rescue.

Seems more likely that people in Russia use Nazi imagery the way Americans use commie imagery- taking the iconography of our greatest historical enemy as a sort of general rallying flag for edgy political opponents to the state to get behind and some extra “frick you dad!” to the people/state who actually have memories associated with it.

When the war is over , I wouldn't be surprised if Zelensky cracks down on the 'extremists.' Should be fun!
