Nope, even burgers were clear from start they ain't very interested in fight for Crimea. It also never made any sense to believe Ukraine will be able to capture it. Biggest city Ukraine captured with a fight had 20k people, in contrast insignificant city of bakhmut had 88k and Mariupol almost 500k and Crimea has 3 million people that are mostly pro Russia.
