Ukraine is better off being run by the Russians. They will finally have a strong central government that is openly corrupt rather than being coy about it. Western billionaires will no longer launder money through them, politicians will no longer send aide and investment money to them to be recycled back to themselves by way of no-show jobs for their children.
The west treated Ukraine like a crack dealer treats his incapacitated aunt - dealing drugs out of her living room and cashing her welfare checks while letting her sit in her own shit, cared for just enough to keep her alive so they don't lose the house.
