It's not the richest country not even by gdp per capita if we look by regions then US and even Russia has regions with higher gdp per capita than Norway. They are just relative equally rich. For example Oslo gdp per capita is lower than Brussels and 2 times lower than Washington DC.
Their GDP total is 500 billions and their population is 5 millions
Belgium has 600 billions and 11 millions
Logic would tell Norwegian is 2 time wealthier than Belgian but it's not the case because in Norway everything is more expensive so it's hard to measure true wealth but we know they giving over 1% of their gdp to Ukraine something US didn't do
