Logic would never explain why Ukraine was holding this land for 4 months. In the past Arestovich told that those marines that are the absolute elite were agro Russian force so they would need to spend some resources protecting it but Russia has dedicated brigades that protect Kherson and Ukraine was sending their elites to enemy camping spot without heavy gear. All those months Russian were mostly hunting boats with drones and there are tons of such videos like for example

Such bridgeheads have 1-2 weeks tops, if it doesn't get bigger it will never get because enemy will take good camping spots and it's done. I even doubt it was Russian initiative to push right now Ukrainian since it enemy decides to send his soldiers at you and the fight is to the last Ukrainian there no point in destroyed that farming spot
Even almost 2 month ago Ukrainian soldiers were asking why are they holding it on bbc
