The real reason they don't want to fully destroy relationship with Russia since no matter how much soy you drink Ukraine in the end is 20 something million people dying country (worst fertility rate in the world) and it's unlikely they ever get any territory back when Russia is around 150 million market (Belarus included) and leader in many energy augments market so partnership with Russia for Germany is a lot more beneficial.
So blaming Trump is easy way to do morally right.
