No? Wtf are you talking about? They wiped out the communist infiltrators in the government in the 1940s and by the 1950s they controlled the CPUSA's couriers so they read all the messages sent from Moscow. And they busted quite a few spies, both high profile and not.

Hanssen's treason was a pretty huge blow but other than that I don't see what you'd say against them. It's amazing how well they did considering we actually have civil rights here and they had nowhere near the resources of the KGB.
