Did some sleuthing: She's linked to her ko-fi on Reddit (https://ko-fi.com/biggusrockus) which has comments about her stories and also a shitload of furry profile pictures thanking her for art, but Google can't find any other websites that link to it. She's kept her art pretty locked down, I can't find any.
Looking through her profile it looks like she had a psychotic break at some point, which I guess makes her actions more understandable. There's no way that deal made sense otherwise, she probably got no money out of it.
It's a creepypasta series from /r/nosleep (sturgeon's law) which inspired the meme that you shouldn't go up stairs in the woods (even though the stairs are a minor element of the series)
Maybe many unfiction fans are part of the demographic likely to become furries (easily manipulable neurodivergents), as unfiction also includes SCP and the backrooms.

Isn't that the dumbass foid who sold all rights to her stories to the fricking SyFy network, permanently shelving all plans to adapt them into a book?

Yes, and the season it inspired was barely related to the creepypasta at all except for also having le heckin stairs in it.

Bummer, I really his/her stories.
It has that "really weird but I believe it" vibe to it, like the one about that neighbor doing backflips through the woods.
