For people who don't have reddit accounts, you can get the Grey Alien and Ashtar Sheran badge if you get the Gorloj badge through having something you posted offsite shared.
The Man in Black badge can now be obtained if you uncover a conspiracy off-reddit and it gets shared/posted/discussed on reddit.
If you haven't been watching /r/UFOs and the broader UFO/UAP/alien enthusiast sphere, the topic has been followed closely as of late by people with very, very low info literacy (well, more than usual at least). As a result, the UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena) community has been working itself into a frenzy over obvious bullshit, like videos purported to show MH370 getting kidnapped and sucked into a portal, people on twitter with 'anon' in the username, and really bad /x/ roleplayers. These hoaxes and grifters are constantly cited, and even one-off fakes are getting hundreds of karma on /r/UFOs.
The time is right to make your mark on UAP history!
The goal of the contest is to get /r/UFOs to respond positively to creative fiction. Creative fiction made by you! There are four five tiers to the contest, each with its own special badge. They are:

Weather Balloon: This user was shot down over the territory of /r/UFOs.
- Winning condition: Make an attempt to gain another badge and fail.
Gray Alien: This user probed /r/UFOs and left the next morning.
- Winning condition: Get at least 100 upmarseys in /r/UFOs on your hoax content.
Ashtar Sheran, Galactic Federation: This user shared galactic knowledge with the users of /r/UFOs.
- Winning condition: Get at least 300 upmarseys in /r/UFOs on your hoax content.
Gorloj, Galactic High Council: This user cloaked /r/UFOs in their heavenly wisdom.
- Winning condition: Make a post on /r/UFOs that obtains 100+ upmarseys AND that is discussed in at least one different highly-upmarseyd post or comment thread on /r/UFOs by organic users (I'll be checking), OR post something off reddit that gets posted to /r/UFOs by organic users and obtains at least 100 upmarseys. The point of this one is to spark a conversation.
Man in Black: The truth is out there. This user prevented /r/UFOs from finding it.
- Winning condition: Make a post that convinces /r/UFOs of a specific, detailed conspiracy to spread disinfo or otherwise undermine the community's quest for truth and obtains 100+ upmarseys OR if you do the same off of reddit and it gets posted to /r/UFOs by an organic user and obtains 50+ upmarseys. Can't involve any of the fake content that you or others have submitted.

Tips:
A fake UFO/UAP story without visuals probably won't cut it.
Dumping/"leaking" existing documents on 4chan might be able to get you the Gray Alien badge, but people have gotten pretty skeptical about document dumps.
Anyone who's good with VFX could probably create a video showing similar "UAPs" and cash out.

or scientist leaking info, catch up on the current lore and terminology the community uses.4chan, as always, is the easiest place to pretend to be an insider or leaker. On twitter and reddit itself a few people have gotten attention by virtue of being/claiming to be part of Anonymous.
If you're going to use preexisting hoax videos, images, etc. I probably won't award a badge unless you add your own flair or it blows up like the fake MH370 video did.
