Sports teams are obsessed with respectability politics. I don't know any other industry where getting arrested (not even convicted) for petty stuff like being "drunk and disorderly" results in massive fines, suspensions, and public censure. You're more likely to become president with a DUI than avoid a fine and suspension in the NFL.
