Ali v Frazier 1 [brief commentary inside]

Work was slow today so I took the opportunity to revisit this legendary fight.

Naturally, I respect the heck out of Ali but I do find his “larger than life” persona, constant shit talking, and facial expressions kind of abrasive. So it’s nice to see him get laid out for once. That’s not to say he didn’t perform admirably. He delivers some nasty blows to Frazier. Frazier’s face looks like a single blister by the end of the fight.

You can tell that both men are pretty much dead on their feet by round 15 and holding onto each other for dear life. It’s actually kind of sweet 🥹
